A Note from our founder
October 2026

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited BrCAcademy during Breast Cancer Awareness Month! We've seen a tremendous increase in visitors this October, and we hope that everyone who stopped by found helpful information, meaningful support, and resources to make their journey a little easier.
Jodi has also been busy this October presenting free educational webinars on a variety of breast cancer rehabilitation topics, including the important role of estrogen, pain science specific to breast cancer, and clinical case studies exploring shoulder pain and breast swelling.
Stay tuned! We'll soon be sharing links to these free webinars on our website. You can find them by visiting the Clinician Hub and selecting Educational Videos. We hope these resources will help clinicians continue learning and bring valuable, evidence-based information into their everyday practice.

Thank you to our Educational Sponsor,
Wear Ease!

Phyllis Keith, owner of Wear Ease, Inc., has a personal connection to breast cancer through a family member. As a dedicated sponsor of BrCAcademy, her generosity helps us provide free, ad-free, high-quality, physical therapy-based education and practical resources for everyone who visits our website.
One of my favorite Wear Ease products is the textured and stylish Best Bra, which I frequently recommend to patients experiencing persistent breast swelling following radiation therapy.
The Best Bra is comfortable, provides highly effective compression, and qualifies for insurance coverage.
BrCAcademy is grateful for Phyllis's commitment to supporting people living with and beyond breast cancer and for helping us make trusted, practical education accessible to all.

What's new at brcacademy?
|
Since our last newsletter, we’ve added a new section under the Learn button: “Tips Before Chemotherapy.” Written by Jennifer Bruer-Vandeweert, a physical therapist, breast cancer survivor, and valued contributor to BrCAcademy, this section offers practical, easy-to-understand information to help you feel more prepared and confident as you approach chemotherapy.

We’re also excited to introduce the BrCAcademy Guestbook! This new community space is a place to share personal stories, meaningful experiences, and words of wisdom with others living with and beyond breast cancer, as well as the people who love and care for them.
Family members and friends often provide tremendous support to someone facing breast cancer, yet their own emotional needs can easily be overlooked. At BrCAcademy, we see you, too! We recognize the important role you play and want to create a space where your experiences, challenges, and insights are heard and valued.
And let's not forget the healthcare providers! Caring for people with breast cancer can be deeply rewarding, but it can also take an emotional toll. We invite healthcare professionals to share the ways they care for themselves, maintain their well-being, and find balance while caring for others.
Whether you are navigating breast cancer yourself, supporting someone you love, or caring for patients, your voice matters. We hope the BrCAcademy Guestbook becomes a place where we can learn from one another, find encouragement, and build a community of understanding and support.
