A less known form of Lymphedema, and possibly less treated is chest and trunk swelling after breast surgery. Ace bandages are frequently used immediately following a surgical procedure but are far from a long term solution for women suffering this condition. Neither is it a feminine or convenient solution. However, it is that same tight hugging factor of an ace bandage, which is needed in a garment to help alleviate the discomfort of this condition.
Some women will suffer from this condition long term or for the rest of their lives so it is important that a garment be functional and aesthetically pleasing.
